De Loach Winery Pinot Noir California Bio 2016 (Pinot Nero)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: beautiful deep red color with bright violet flashes.
- Nose: it opens with aromas of raspberry and candied orange peel with hints of anise.
- Mouth: delicious flavors of strawberry, plum and ripe cherry Santa Rosa equilibrate with an earthy note of black tea and a touch of spices for baking.
APPELLATION: DO California, United States.
VINEYARD: Winery De Loach.
GRAPES: Pinot Noir 100%.
AGEING: 16 months in barrels and 2 months in bottle.
PREPARATION: eight clones is performed using real 115, 828, Swan, La Tache, Calera and Mt. Eden, 777 and 23. This combination of clones shows the ideal expression of the terroir of farms and fermented for 16 months in individual lots with native yeast in fermenters open lid, pressed and aged in baskets lees before mixing and aging for a while.
WINE PAIRING: Grilled red meats and stews.

DeLoach Vineyards pioneered Pinot Noir wine growing in the Russian River Valley when Cecil DeLoach, a firefighter from San Francisco with a passion for winemaking, first planted the grape in 1973.
