Description of Chateau Lagrezette 2008
Chateau Lagrezette 2008 (Malbec and Merlot)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: black, purple rim.
- Nose: black fruit, leather, snuff and spices.
- Mouth: powerful, cocoa flavors and toasted hazelnut, tannins to end.
APPELLATION: Cahors.
VINEYARD: Terroir of clay and gravel. Age of the vines: 30 years.
GRAPES: 85% Malbec, 14% Merlot, 1% Tannat.
AGEING: 18 months in barrels, 50% and 50% new wood barrels wine.
PREPARATION: cold maceration for 7 days, 2 daily pigeages alcoholic fermentation and then prolonged maceration. Pumping daily and then malolactic fermentation in.
PAIRING: dishes in sauce, sausages, red meat, poultry, cheeses and white meats.
TEMPERATURE: 18 °C
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14%
