Brunello from San Polo has a lengthy ageing potential and can further improve with extended bottle ageing. This is due both to the characteristics of the soils on which the grapes are grown - the calcareous content provides ideal conditions for Sangiovese - and the position of the vineyards on the beautiful hills at San Polo.

Opaque red. Toasted and smoky aromas.Reminded me of burned wood and it was a pleasant taste.
The best pairing would have been fish.
This time I shared it with two couples.

We paired it with snacks and we really liked this Brunello Di Montalcino. I tried it on a tasting course.
Dark red tone and furthermore rather opaque. This San Polo Brunello di Montalcino had good scents of red fruits. Softer than 2014.
