Banfi calls its Brunello di Montalcino a great classic. 2015 vintage will be remembered as one of the best harvests in the Montalcino area.
Abundant winter and spring rainfall, alternating with sunny and breezy days, ensured proper water storage in the soil and even growth of the grapes in May and June. The summer period, with rather high temperatures, favoured the regular development of the grapes. Furthermore, ripening took place gradually thanks to the good temperature range between day and night. The almost total absence of rain, both during ripening and harvesting, and the mild temperatures in September facilitated harvesting operations and preserved the health of the fruit.
The result is an elegant and balanced wine, characterised by a sweet, rich and complex aroma of ripe red fruit. A structured wine with good softness and excellent ageing potential.

Banfi in Montalcino has been a point of reference for anyone in the world dealing with wine production for over thirty years. Defined in its time as "the greatest project that has ever been realized in the production of quality wines", it was founded in 1978 thanks to the will of the Italian American brothers John and Harry Mariani - former owners of Banfi Vintners, one of the most important import companies of American wines. The property, located on the southern slope of the municipality of Montalcino, occupies 2,830 hectares of which 850 are home to specialized vineyards.More about the Winery
Reviews of Banfi Brunello di Montalcino 2015
It was served together with the appetizer.
To drink in good company.
Amazing cherry colour. Deep aromas of violets and menthol. Salty touch, like the sea, cool.
Would pair it with some kind of special meat.
