You will like to know that…
Torres is a Spanish winery that was founded in 1870 by a man named Jaime Torres Vendrell, who named the company after himself. That name has graced the bottles of a superb brand with an excellent history ever since. The fine Spanish wines and spirits created by Torres have even been recognized by Spanish royalty over the years. King Alphonse XIII visited the winery in 1904 while King Juan Carlos I paid a visit in 1995 in honour of the brand's 125th birthday.
From the fine line of Torres products comes Torres 5. This is the youngest brandy on offer from the company, which goes through just five years of ageing in American oak before bottling. But since that ageing is done using the traditional Spanish method of solera and criaderas, the final brandy tastes older than its years. In this system, younger brandies are added to barrels containing their older siblings, to allow the flavours and characteristics to be passed along the line.
Torres 5 is a traditionally distilled brandy full of a wide range of flavours and aromas that will invite you back for a second sip. A great brandy for both sipping and mixing, this is a classic spirit from a historic brand that has made a lasting name for itself around the world.
