González Byass (Brandy)
González Byass was founded in 1835 in Jerez, Spain. Today, it remains under the management of the fifth generation of the González family. The family's passion for wine and its culture is not only limited to Jerez but has expanded itself into a family of wine, having incorporated wineries from some of Spain's most emblematic wine regions into its fold.
Lepanto Pedro Ximenez Solera Gran Reserva is produced using only the finest Palomino grapes from the Jerez region itself. It is double-distilled in two pots stills, which were built in the 1960s. The end product is then aged in American oak barrels for a minimum of 12 years: 9 years in barrels that were previously used for Tio Pepe and 3 years in barrels that were previously used for Matusalem. This time spent is distinct types of barrels allows the brandy to draw unique notes from both types of wood.
Lepanto Pedro Ximenez Solera Gran Reserva has a lot of character and is rich, dry brandy. For this product, it is best to serve it the traditional way in order to allow all of its tonalities and facets of flavour to shine. Serve it in a brandy glass either neat or on the rocks. But, as a modern drink, this brandy can also be used in mixed drinks and cocktails where it is sure to lend a bit of its personality to the mix. It will serve as a good accompaniment for cheeses or chocolate.
