Domaine de Lagravière set on the oldest terroir of the Bordeaux vineyards was purchased at the end of the 18th century by the family of Maurès de Malartic. As a tribute to Hippolyte Count of Malartic who served the armies of the Kings of France the Château was named Malartic-Lagravière in 1850 by the new owner at that time, Madame Ricard.
Bought by the belgian couple Michèle and Alfred-Alexandre Bonnie in 1996 a new course was set for this estate wich has kept the Count of Malartic's ships as part of their emblem.
