The first testimony attesting the presence of the Bisol family in the historical heart of the Prosecco production area, is found in the Venetian Republic of 1542, in which the Bisol appear as "workers' trustees" of a vast estate belonging to the noble family of the From Pula: a territory called Chartice, the current and very prestigious hill of Cartizze.
In 1875, the viticultural and enological vocation of the Bisol family sedimented and emerged further, when Elisha Bisol gave life to a small and flourishing trade, which only the brutality of the First World War managed to temporarily stop: in fact the territory of Valdobbiadene was right on the border that opposed the Austro-Hungarian army to the Italian one.
