You will like to know that…
The Wild Turkey 101 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the reference product of Wild Turkey, an American company founded in 1855, in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, a producer of bourbon whisky. Since 2009, it has been fully owned by the Campari Group.
The production process starts with distillates of wheat, rye and malt and pure water from the Kentucky River. The quality control of the raw materials is repeated four times before the production phase to ensure quality. For the refinement of its products, Wild Turkey relies on magnificent white American oak barrels, the notorious "Alligator" with a degree of roasting 4 (the highest available), where the bourbon has the opportunity to age for a period between 5 and 12 years.
The Wild Turkey 101 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a bourbon whiskey bottled at 101 proof, so with the high alcohol content of 50.5%. Despite its high alcohol content, it has a very sweet and rich aroma. It is a very successful blend of various bourbons aged 6, 7 and 8 years. It pervades the nose with spicy notes especially of pepper, while the taste transmits fantastically concentrated nuances of spicy cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. The finish is fantastic and particular, slightly spicy and long. It is certainly a unique, incisive bourbon, which strikes for its decidedly spicy taste and the contrasting caramel aftertaste that creates the note of sweetness. In a word: delicious.
