You will like to know that…
The Bolgheri wine region may be young in relation to its fellow Tuscan wine regions but is still very prestigious. That is why the founding of Poggio al Tesoro, with its four parcels of land adding up to 70 hectares (173 acres), was nothing less than a dream come true for the owners. With a small, diverse, and carefully crafted collection of wines, this winery has been steadily winning awards and making a name for itself.
One standout member from this portfolio is Poggio al Tesoro Bolgheri Il Seggio 2017. It is named after the Seggio river, the largest river to flow through the Castagneto Carducci region. You can admire the twist and turns of this river on the beautifully designed label. Made with a blend of the most famous red grape varieties of the region, including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, after 15 months in the barrel, the wine is ready.
Despite the maturity, this wine retains a freshness that makes Il Seggio very easy to drink. The medium body and lively finish give this red wine a great amount of personality and allow it to pair with a wide range of flavours and styles of food. If you would like a Tuscan wine that will really shine at your next meal, Il Seggio may be just what you were looking for.
