Description of Argentiera Opheliah Maria 2012
Argentiera Opheliah Maria 2012 (Cabernet Sauvignon)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: bright ruby red color.
- Nose: Newly opened surprised by its rich bouquet reminiscent of the Mediterranean Macchia, especially juniper and myrtle, well rooted in a background of cocoa beans. Progressively develops its fruity nature, governed by fresh red berries and then a touch of dried pepper, accompanied by a spicy black hue charm. Balsamic finish is clean and sharp, sketched by aromas of mint, liquorice, laurel and rhubarb.
- Mouth: According nose offers on one hand the climate of 2010 through an acidic freshness and on the other hand the terroir of Argentiera with a marine mineral and tasty fine. The body, well balanced, showing an entire structure elegant but together with tannic velvet fabric is very promising for the future aging.
APPELLATION: Tuscany, Italy.
VINEYARD: Tenuta Argentiera
GRAPES: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
AGEING: The wine was transferred to French oak barrels of 225 l (Allier and Troncais) where malolactic fermentation was completed and aged for 20 months. Subsequently, the wine remained for an additional fine in the bottle at least 12 months before its release to the market.

WINE PAIRING: Perfect for cheese dishes, lamb, white meat.
