Description · Guado al Tasso Antinori

Antinori Guado al Tasso Il Bruciato Bolgheri 2017 (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah)

  • Nose: Aroma of berries, with notes of sweet spices and leather.
  • Mouth: balanced and slightly tannin taste. It offers a nice finish.

APPELLATION: Tuscany, Italy.

VINEYARD: Tenuta Guado al Tasso.

GRAPES: Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah.

AGEING: small oak barrels where it rests before bottling.

PREPARATION: Prepared from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah carefully selected vineyards Guado al Tasso. Upon reaching the cellars, the grapes are de-stemmed and pressed gently. Then fermented and the period of contact between the skin takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. There lasts ten to fifteen days. A portion of Merlot and Syrah musts fermented at low temperatures to preserve its aroma and then goes to small oak barrels and stainless steel.

The Bolgheri Rosso DOC The Burned of Guado al Antinori rate is a great Tuscan red wine, made from a blend composed of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (30%) and Syrah (20%) of vineyards in near Bolgheri. A wine of terroir, born in 2002, which tells well the prestigious local specificity of the area DOC Bolgheri, one of the most popular in Tuscany. Product each year except in 2003, the Big Red has won several major awards. Among these are the five clusters of Bibenda AIS Guide. After a careful harvest, the selected grapes are de-stemmed and gently pressed, then they undergo a maceration on the skins in steel, then a part of the juice is fermented at low temperatures, in order to maintain the varietal aroma. Following malolactic fermentation takes place partly in barriques and partly in steel, after which the Bolgheri Rosso DOC The Burned is assembled and placed in wooden aged for 10 months, after which it is bottled. However, before being placed on the market, even glass mature for 4 months. The result is an elegant, very intense red that emerges for its perfect balance, a wine sip rich and very pleasant. Great drink today, is extraordinary left to mature in the cellar for a few years.
