Sassicaia Magnum 1999 (Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon)

TASTING NOTES Sassicaia 375ml 1999 :

View: intense ruby red.
Nose: plum and fine leathers, mineral notes river stone, smoked.
Mouth: Structured, serious, smart, warm, fruity, final mineral notes.

APPELLATION: Bolgueri Sassicaia.

GRAPES: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet franc 15%.

AGEING: 24 months in French oak barrels.

PROCESSING: soft pressing of grapes and successive fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature of between 30 and 31 °C, without yeast. Maceration between 9 and 12 days and successive pumping and delestage wort. Malolactic in stainless steel.

PAIRING: game dishes.

TEMPERATURE: 16-18 °C

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13.5%

Jag köpte den på en provsmakning.
Denna röd är körsbärsfärgad, med bruna kanter. Aromer av kaffe. Den hade en rökig smak.

Aromas a avelãs e nozes. Gosto da sua ligeira aspereza.
Um pouco mais fraco do que as colheitas anteriores, mas continua a ser um grande vinho.

Jeg dro til Tenuta San Guido med kolleger , og jeg prøvde den der.
God kirsebær farge i det laveste laget. Aroma av balsamico. En ganske snerpende rødevin.
Denne Sassicaia Magnum er god til kjøtt.

I drank it with my best friend.
Red ruby colour with reddish brown edges. The smell of violets was so strong that it seemed curious to me. Predominating aromas of red fruits.
Better pair it with vegetables.

Smells good, like a mix of raspberry und strawberry. An astonishing Bolgheri Sassicaia on the palate.
It is worth re-buying this Marchesi Incisa Della Rocchetta Bolgheri Sassicaia Magnum.
