TASTING NOTES OF Sassicaia 375ml 2013:

View: intense ruby red.
Nose: plum and fine leathers, mineral notes river stone, smoked.
Mouth: Structured, serious, smart, warm, fruity, final mineral notes.

APPELLATION: Bolgueri Sassicaia.

GRAPES: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet franc 15%.

AGEING: 24 months in French oak barrels.

PROCESSING: soft pressing of grapes and successive fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature of between 30 and 31 °C, without yeast. Maceration between 9 and 12 days and successive pumping and delestage wort. Malolactic in stainless steel.

PAIRING: game dishes.

Ik zou het met een vette vis koppelen. Ik gaf het aan mijn ouders en wij proevden het samen.
Zo op het oog is diep robijnrood. Beheers de geur van aardbeien. Het heeft een voldoende aanwezigheid.

Cor muito intensa, típica do Sassicaia 375ml. Sente-se cheiro a bagas. Bom sabor e travo prolongado.

Opaque red. Balsamic aromas.Like its coffee flavours.
A Sassicaia 375ml that was served as dessert of a good meal.

I bought the bottle at a winery tour.
This Cabernet Franc is very pleasing to the eye. Good aromas of ripe fruit. The grape had an evident presence.

Dark red tone and furthermore rather opaque. Scent of violets and liquorice. Such a tasty flavour with hints of chocolate.
It wasn't well paired with food, but the wine was good and tasty.
My best friend recommended it to me.
