Discover More About Our Products

Sassicaia is one of the most famous Italian wines in the world, whose name seems to derive from the characteristics of the soil from which it comes. The soils of Bolgheri have a high content of limestone and stones.

It was Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, formerly established at Tenuta San Guido, who had the idea of creating a wine from Bordeaux in the Maremma, a region which, at the beginning of the last century, was virtually unknown in the wine business. He had indeed recognised similar characteristics between the soils of Bordeaux and those of Tuscany: his intuition proved to be right!

Sassicaia 2017 is rich and complex, another great vintage of a wine that is already legendary. Thw wine is characterised by a wide variety of aromas, from ripe berries to roasted almonds, from cola to graphite, from Mediterranean scrub to bitter orange. In the mouth, too, the taste is powerful and persistent, made elegant by a beautiful acid vein and depth.
