Sassicaia is one of the most famous Italian wines in the world. A Supertuscan, born in 1944 from the idea of Marquis Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, who had the idea of planting typical Bordeaux vines in Tuscany, such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
Sassicaia 2014 is from a year that was characterized by a cold and rainy climate. Nevertheless, Tenuta San Guido has managed to produce a superb and elegant wine, with fruity and fresh notes, excellent to combine with dishes based on game.
