Il Sassicaia si presenta con un colore rubino intenso, concentrato e profondo. Il profumo è complesso con sentori di frutti rossi e molto elegante. Il sapore è potente, concentrato, di grande spessore, con tannini dolci ed equilibrati. In bocca è ricco e denso ma contemporaneamente armonico ed elegante. Decisamente lunga la persistenza, con uno spessore organolettico di grande importanza e con un corredo polifenolico che assicurano a questo vino una straordinaria longevità.
