Spiced Hot Apple Cider
This cocktail is ideal for rainy autumn evenings when you snuggle up in the warm blanket in front of the TV.
- 4 glasses of cider
- 1 glass of rum
- 1 sliced apple
- 1 orange slice
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- Fresh ginger
In a large pot, mix the cider, the apple and orange slices, the ginger and the cinnamon. When it comes to the boil, reduce the heat and cook everything over a low heat for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat, add the rum, mix everything and serve.
A cocktail dedicated to the current month and named after a great film classic: the Red October, offered by Villa Schweppes.
- 4 cl of vodka
- 1 cl blackcurrant cream
- 8 cl Schweppes tonic
In a glass with ice, pour the blackcurrant cream followed by the vodka. Let it cool for a bit before adding the Schweppes tonic. Mix vigorously. You can decorate the glass with a small slice of lime.
The Gratitude Cocktail
Thanksgiving hasn’t arrived yet, but it’s always a good time to be grateful… for a delicious cocktail recipe, for example! For the Gratitude recipe we have to thank Canada, more precisely Quebec.
- 4.5 cl of gin (better if Ungava Gin)
- 1 cl lemon juice
- 1.5 cl thyme honey
- Apple must, to taste
- A pale ale beer
- Fresh thyme
In a tall glass, pour some pale ale and then add the rest of the ingredients, finishing with the apple must and the thyme. Mix gently and The Gratitude is ready.
Ungava is a Canadian gin unlike any other on the market. What makes this gin so special is the collection of botanicals used to produce it. The six handpicked Arctic ingredients are all native to Canada: Nordic juniper, arctic blend, Labrador tea, crowberry, cloudberry, and wild rosehip.
It’s time for a great classic: the Old Fashioned.
- 4.5 cl of bourbon or whisky
- 2 spoons of sugar
- Orange slices
In a wide glass add the sugar, a dash of angostura and some water. Mix them well until they dissolve. Add ice and finally the whisky or bourbon. Garnish with two orange slices and a cherry.
