Halloween, the scariest night of the year, is coming! And how can we celebrate if not with some really creepy cocktails? If you want to try something different from the classic (and immortal) Bloody Mary, here are some very original ideas:
White Spider
- 2 parts of vodka
- 2 parts white crème de menthe
- Ice
In a shaker, add all the ingredients and stir for a few seconds. Then, pour the cocktail into a Martini cup. To give your cocktail that extra touch, you can decorate it with a spider shaped candy or some black licorice strings, which will look like spider’s legs. 🕷️
Jack-O-Lantern Cocktail
- 4.5 cl cognac
- 1.5 cl Grand Marnier (or orange liqueur)
- 3 cl orange juice
- 6 cl ginger ale
- A round orange slice
- Lime peel
In a shaker, shake the cognac, orange liqueur and juice with ice. Fill an Old Fashioned glass with some ice and pour the cocktail into it by filtering it. Fill the glass with Ginger Ale. To decorate, place the round orange slice on top and put a piece of lime peel in the middle: your glass will look like a pumpkin! 🎃
Black Widow
- 6 cl black vodka
- 9 cl cranberry juice
Fill a Highball glass with a few ice cubes and pour in the cranberry juice. Slowly pour the black vodka over the juice: you will get two different colour levels. Again, have fun decorating with “scary” candies or licorice. 🕷️

The vampire’s diary
- 3 cl pepper vodka
- 1.5 cl strawberry syrup
- 1 cl lime juice
- 3 strawberries
- A whole chilli pepper
- Chopped ice
Muddle 2 strawberries in a Rock glass, then fill the glass with crushed ice. Pour in the lime juice, syrup and pepper vodka and stir gently. If necessary, add ice and decorate with a strawberry and the whole chili pepper. That’s hot! 🧛
Morticia Cocktail
- 1.5 cl Pernod
- 1.5 dry vermouth
- 1.5 cl sloe gin
- 0.5 cl lemon juice
- 0.75 cl gomme syrup
- Chopped ice
Shake all the ingredients in a shaker with crushed ice, then pour into an Old Fashioned glass. Your cocktail is ready, duh-duh-duh-duh 🤏 🤏
