Halloween cocktails

The scariest night of the year is fast approaching: Halloween! And how better to celebrate than with some creepy cocktails? If you want to bring something different to the table than the usual (and immortal) Bloody Mary, here are some very original Halloween cocktails.

White Spider 🕷️

  • 2 parts vodka
  • 2 parts white crème de menthe
  • Ice

In a shaker, add all the ingredients and stir for a few seconds. Then pour the cocktail into a Martini glass. To give it that extra touch, you can decorate with a spider-shaped sweet or some liquorice strings, which will remind you of a spider’s legs.

Jack-O-Lantern 🎃

  • 45 ml Cognac
  • 15 ml Grand Marnier (or orange liqueur)
  • 30 ml orange juice
  • 60 ml ginger ale
  • A round orange slice
  • Lime peel

In a shaker, mix the cognac, orange liqueur and juice with ice. Fill an Old Fashioned glass with ice and pour in the cocktail, straining it. Fill the glass with Ginger Ale. To decorate, place the orange slice on top of the cocktail and stick a piece of lime peel in the middle: your glass will look like a pumpkin!

Black Widow 🖤

Fill a highball glass with a few ice cubes and pour in the cranberry juice. Slowly pour the black vodka over the juice: you will get two layers of different colours. Again, have fun decorating with ‘scary’ sweets or liquorice.

The Vampire’s Diary 🧛

  • 30 ml pepper vodka
  • 15 ml strawberry syrup
  • 10 ml lime juice
  • 3 strawberries
  • A whole chilli pepper
  • Chopped ice

Crush 2 strawberries in a Rock glass, then fill the glass with crushed ice. Pour in the lime juice, syrup and pepper vodka and stir gently. If desired, add ice and garnish with a strawberry and whole chilli. For stronger palates only!

Morticia Cocktail 🕸️

Mix all ingredients in a shaker with crushed ice, then pour into an Old Fashioned glass. Your cocktail is ready!
