A special recipe for Autumn: Chestnut Cake - Drinks&Co

Are you, like us, a fan of chestnuts? Then you will surely love the recipe we are going to share with you: chestnut cake! Easy to make and delicious to eat!

  • 400 g of chestnuts puree
  • 250 g of flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 sachet of yeast
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 40 g butter
  • Icing sugar

Butter the cake mould or place some baking paper. Beat the eggs with an electric blender and add the sugar. After mixing well, add the butter and continue beating for a couple of minutes.

Mix the yeast, flour and chestnut puree in another bowl, then add the eggs. Stir gently until all the ingredients have integrated properly.

Pour the mixture into the mould and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes. Remove the cake from the mould only when cooled, and sprinkle it with a little icing sugar. You can decorate the cake with some mint leaves.

If you can’t find the chestnut puree at the supermarket, just cut the chestnuts and let them cook for about 40 minutes in a pan with water and a pinch of salt. Then peel and mash them in a potato masher.
