It’s clear that bars are part of our lives, so much so that they are often a theatre of important moments, something that the film could not capture, as happened with all the real or imaginary events imagined by its creators.
There are many signs that the seventh art collects in taverns, pubs, bars, cafes, and other buildings, and these are the most important ones.
1. The Mos Eisley Cellar
It is impossible for a Star Wars fan not to listen to the song you hear in the scene in the cellar of the planet Tatooine when you see a picture of it. This is the place where Ben Kenobi and Luke Skywalker recruit Han Solo and Chewbacca for their adventures and where the Jedi Master uses his laser sword for the first time.
2. Bob’s Country Bunker
Every bar that has a metal canvas to avoid bottling deserves to be visited. This is the case of the anthrax that includes the adventures of the famous Blues Brothers in the same film with John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd.
3. The Golden Hall of the Overlook Hotel
Here we start to see how Jack Nicholson goes head to head in some of Shining’s key scenes, the disturbing film directed by the great director Stanley Kubrick in 1980.
4. The Prancing Pony
Nothing better than a couple of pints of beer to start the biggest adventure ever experienced by the four hobbits in the county. Here are Aragorn (aka Strider) and the little hairy heroes in the movie adaptation of The Lord of the Rings.
5. Jack Rabbit’s Slim
Probably one of Quentin Tarantino’s most memorable Pulp Fiction scenes takes place in this typically American location: it is a dancing dinner where John Travolta and Uma Thurman give free vent to their passion for dance and smoothies.
6. Rick Café Americain
In this small review could not miss the most famous disco of Casablanca, which saw the birth of the passionate love between Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in the 1942 film, as well as hosting the piano that Sam “sounded again.”
