"An equal blend of Cinsault, Carignan and Cabernet Sauvignon, from a bakingly hot vintage, it has all the Musar hallmarks of rich, ripe, savoury fruit backed by an underlying sweetness and softness"Jonny Ray - The Spectator Magazine March 2019

Ideally, bottles should be standing up the night before opening to allow the sediment to settle. After careful decanting (and discarding of sediment, usually in the last centimetre of the bottle) the wine should be allowed to breathe for an hour and served at 18°C. Pairs well with roasts, grills (especially lamb), casseroles, game, and mature cheeses.

Château Musar

The legendary winery of Château Musar is a story that has its roots in the cradle of viticulture, that is, in the Lebanese Bekaa Valley, where the most ancient testimonies of wine production meet, bringing us back to the wines of almost six thousand years ago. We are precisely in Lebanon, a few tens of kilometers east of Beirut, the capital. The scenario is that of a place particularly suited to the production of great wines, discovered and somehow "built" thanks to the intuitive genius of Gaston Hochar. The latter, in 1930, after a long journey in the French region of Bordeaux to the discovery of the prestigious Bordeaux labels, returned with the conviction that in Lebanon the climatic conditions and the compositions of the land would allow him to produce equally important wines

We order it in a supper with working colleagues.
The colour was between red and brown. Good coffee aromas. Astringent, rough taste.
It paired well with the food.

Cherry colour with brown edges. Nuances of chocolate. I liked the Chateau Musar for its rough taste.
Chateau Musar and deer stew, just great.
I gave it as a gift to my brother and he absolutely loved it.

I bought the Chateau Musar wine online.
Typical opacity of a Chateau Musar. Fine aromas of raisins. Very clear taste of raspberries.
