Singha is a special Pilsner beer from Thailand with the typical Buddhist symbol on its emblem, the lion. On the 25th of October 1939, the company Boon Rawd Brewery became the official provider of the Royal Court of Thailand and received permission to use the Kingdom's Garuda as well as the words "By Royal Permission". It was awarded the country's highest honour. Singha enjoys fame and popularity all over the world.

BREWERY: Beer [1] is a blonde Thai beer produced by the Boon Rawd company. It is the most popular beer and also the oldest in the country, in fact, its history dates back to the last century, when the founder of Boon Rawd, Phya Bhirom Bhakdi, built the first brewery in the history of Thailand in 1934. Already in the 50s the company owned 60% of the country's beer market, bringing it to a strong expansion, not only on the domestic market but also abroad, until reaching, in 1968, the export of the popular Singha beer in European countries. In 1994, the company opened two breweries in Saxony (Germany) to produce a Singha beer for the European market. The company's production capacity is 1 billion liters per year. At present, the company produces products with the numerous commercial brands Singha , Leo, B-ing, Purra, Sanvo, Syder Bay, Boonrawd Farm, Pundee and Masita.The Sing-to brand means lion in Thai.

When Phya Bhirom Bhakdi, or "Boon Rawd" Sreshthaputra was 57 years old, he had enough of imported beer. He was of the opinion, that Thailand was very well capable of brewing its own beer of equal quality. Finally, on the 4th of August in 1933, the government granted Boon Rawd an official license.
