TASTING NOTES: La Trappe Quadrupel
- Appearance: Pleasant amber color.
- Aroma: Soft attack but then intensifies with the onset of alcohol, moderated by herbal notes, combined with hints of malt.
- Taste: The flavor is full and warm, very balanced. Slightly sweet, with a pleasant hint of bitterness.

The Onze Lieve Vrouw of Koningshoeven Abbey was founded in 1881 by French Trappist monks, who were escaping their country. As a source of income they built a brewery 4 years later. But, being Trappists, also to fulfill their charity duties. Their beer was so popular that in 1894 they brought up enough money to build a new abbey. Eversince the brewery was growing, getting their own bottling plant and a lemonade factory.More about the Brand
