CERVECERÍA: Krombacher. One of the most important breweries in Germany established in 1803 by the Schadeberg family. It is located in the town of Kreuztal, within the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, east of Germany.
TYPE OF FERMENTATION: For its manufacture, natural spring water is used, which is mixed with crushed malt in the tank to obtain the must by heating. Once a soluble and fermentable substance is obtained, the solid parts of the must are separated from the liquids, the hop is added in the boiler and the whole mixture is boiled to obtain its unmistakable aroma. It is then subjected to low cold fermentation, where uniquely grown brewer's yeast is added, and allowed to stand for 5 to 7 days for the malt starch to ferment and produce carbon dioxide. Subsequently, most of the yeast is extracted and the resulting product is transferred to storage tanks for maturation.
BEER TYPE: Pilsen.
