Contrary to what one might think, Hanssens Artisanaal is not a brewery. The main activity that is practiced is ripening and the assembly of different Lambic. In Belgium Hanssens is considered one of the last major assemblers Lambic. It is normal to see his Oud Geuze at the top of various rankings. Dress this gueuze is classic: It varies between orange and dark yellow, all accompanied by a fine not durable white foam. On the nose, slightly woody aromas mingle delicately with grapefruit and citrus, thereby offering a beautiful aromatic complexity. In the mouth it is possible to find elegant woody notes.
