Origin: Belgium
The Het Anker is a Flemish brewery based in Mechelen. With a continuous activity documented since the fourteenth century, this brewery is the last still operating in Mechelen. She practices a top fermentation technique, and uses of corn flour and more malt in the brew. The cooling in air wort was abandoned in 1990 for air pollution reasons, and facilities were modernized at that date. This special beer has a dark amber color with red highlights and is topped with a rich creamy and persistent foam. The nose of this Carolus ambrio offers powerful fruity and malty flavors. In the mouth, Carolus ambrio exudes flavors malty with hints of caramel and hops. Rich reveals bitterness in the finish.

Amber beer brewed with "brio". In the past, every Belgian city had its typical beer; the Ambrio rooted in the traditional beer of Mechelen or the Mechelsen Bruynen brunette Mechelen whose recipe dates back to the 14th century. The beer brewed today is more 'light and contains more' hops the original and the perfect balance between the different types of malt and hops and the typical taste of spices creates a perfect marriage between the powerful taste of brown beers and the freshness of Lagers.

Brewed Brewery Het Anker by following a recipe dating back to the 15th century, Gouden Carolus Ambrio is the only representative of a now defunct beer style. Higher in alcohol and more hoppy than its ancestors, it is a fermented and bottled beer is flavored with hops from Belgium. This Gouden Carolus Ambrio both round and temperamental present in the glass a pretty light copper colored dress amber. She dons a foam hat both dense, creamy and abundant, which is very persistent in the glass. Gouden Carolus Ambrio The nose presents complex and malty aromas of ripe fruit, caramel and coffee; Notes of spices and light grassy scents are also noticeable. On the palate, malty flavors found in a complex mixture reminiscent of ripe fruit, roasted malt and caramel. Yeast keys evoking spices are also present in the mouth. The assembly is relatively sweet. Note that this beer can easily store up to three years after bottling date. The comparison between the young and the aged version of cellar can therefore be an interesting taste experience.
