Traditionally, the Bavarian white are brewed from malt of a mixture of barley and wheat. The peculiarity of this Acht Weizen Schlenkerla Rauchbier rather lies in the fact that the malt barley is first smoked before being used. This is this very special malting technique which derives its distinctiveness. This white beer paradoxically presents a dark amber color that confuses the amateur traditional white. The foam is imposing. The nose also is amazing naturally found there smoked malt aspects but also the profile of fruity yeast with nice banana notes. On the palate, the attack is well balanced between fruity and smoky areas. The suite is more gentle, although the smoked malt is present throughout the tasting. This German beer, moon of the most renowned, will delight fans of white beers wishing to explore other horizons.
