L'Abbaye des Rocs Christmas Special is a brown triple fermentation beer brewed in Belgium at the occassion of the holiday season. seasonal brew is a very malty beer, as is often the case for the so-called Christmas beers. The Abbey Christmas Special Rocs has a dress the color mahogany disorder which supports a beige foam and compact. It offers the nostril sweet and spicy aromas with orange notes of caramel and roasted malt and coriander. Hops and alcohol also assert their presence in the nose with herbaceous scents and syrupy. In the mouth, we discover a very complex beer and develops a wide range of flavors. We first found very malty influences with flavors of roasted grains, chocolate and coffee and burnt caramel spikes. Then argue flavors evoking the macerated fruit and liqueur while a hoppy bitterness appeared. Spices are also noticeable with clove tips and coriander. The combination of these flavors brings an aftertaste anise-licorice. The tasting ends on a note of dry macerated dried fruit. Belgian beer served in a cup of preference.
