You will like to know that…
24 X Brugse Zot Blonde is a natural beer made from the mixture of 4 pale malts, Styrian Goldings hops and Hallertau, yeast, and water, from which a complex character ale is born that is perfect to pair with fish, seafood, meat and grilled vegetables. Behind the beer's name, we also discover the curious history of the inhabitants of Bruges, popularly known as "Brugse Zot" (witches' wolves). It is said that, to welcome the Emperor Maximilian of Austria - who had acquired Flanders through his marriage to Mary of Burgundy in the fifteenth century - to the city, citizens of Bruges organized a parade featuring acrobats, harlequins and other characters of this style. When, the next day, the citizens asked the emperor for money for an institution for the "crazy people" of the city, he replied that the whole place was a city of madmen, and hence the name of 24 X Brugse Zot Blonde.
