Peter Lehmann Layers Red 2014

- Layers is a unique blend that delivers a highly enjoyable journey of discovery for the senses in each and every glass. This multi-dimensional wine is an exciting blend. The colour is a beautiful black cherry with a burst of fresh red berries and spice on the nose. The palate is a pleasant combination of savoury plum and
- chocolate, ending with chalky tannins and a soft fruited finish.
- A blend of Shiraz 41%, Mourvedre 20%, Tempranillo 19%, Grenache 17% and Carignane 3% all sourced from Barossa vineyards
- Shiraz delivers fruit depth and structure, combining beautifully with the aromatics and spiciness of Grenache, Mourvedre adds wild earthy notes to the blend and melds together with the firm, savoury character of Tempranillo, to surround and soften the palate of this wonderful wine.
- This is a wine to be enjoyed as a relative youngster. It drinks beautifully with a range of foods, including Mediterranean influenced meat dishes, spicy Indian style curries and hearty casseroles.

Good wine to drink between hours. To drink with friends.
The had a very deep color. Clear notes of toffee. Complex and subtle.

Peter Lehmann Layers 2011
It showed strong colours. Sensual aromas of cherries. I liked it because it was as light as water.
You can pair this red with anything you want.
My best friend recommended it to me.

A very harmonious blend of the oldest vines of the Barossa Valley in Australia: Shiraz, Grenache, Tempranillo and Mourvedre. The Peter Lehmann Layers Red impressive across the board. The red wine is seductively soft. His opulent fruit distinguishes his character. Aromatic he recalls, cherries, dark bitter chocolate black pepper blackberries.

It was not well paired with fish. A wine to give to a very good friend.
I noticed a dull colour. Mainly strawberry smell. A smoky touch remained in my mouth.
