The beautiful Massolino Barolo 2015 comes from the Massolino estate in Italy. The grapes themselves come from vineyards which are near the village of Serralunga d'Alba, which lies only 60 kilometres (37 miles) southeast of Turin. The vineyard and the village have had a close relationship since the estate was founded in 1896. In fact, it was the founder of the estate who was the first to bring electricity to the village.

Nebbiolo grapes are the base of this classic Barolo wine. The vines are harvested manually in the latter part of October when the grapes are fully mature. After fermentation and maceration, the wine is aged for a minimum of 30 months in large oak barrels before being allowed to mature in the bottle for a bit longer than a year.

This fine wine was first produced in 1911 and has delighted customers ever since. The garnet red colour of the wine in the glass is followed by an equally alluring aroma, which is a mix of spices, flowers, and fruit. This full-bodied classic Barolo is best paired with red meat and game in particular. It also is great to enjoy with pasta with meat sauce, risotto, and medium-strength cow or sheep's cheeses.

The classic Massolino's family Barolo, ever the one that best represents the corporate style in full respect of tradition, in the name of cleanliness and detail. It is from about 10 hectares mainly in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, with a balance of 5% of the town of Castiglione Falletto. The fermentation takes place in steel and / or concrete, with maceration of 20/30 days in contact with the skins. The aging continues for 24 months in wood, and for 16 months in glass.
