Gaja Barbaresco is garnet in color.

The nose is almost sensual in its complexity, with aromas of forest fruits, plums, licorice, mineral and coffee scents.

The taste is long, with a complex finish with fine, silk-like tannins and good acidity; dense structure, full of super-ripe fruit.

Gaja Barbaresco 2015 Magnum
Gaja Winery
Gaja is now a wine cellar with only Piedmont nearly 100 hectares of vineyards controlled. The winery was founded in 1859 Gaja Barbaresco, in the heart of the Langhe, and has always been recognized as one of the symbolic names in the production of Barbaresco.

Since founding until Giovanni Angelo Gaja, this family has always sought quality. Piedmont is one of the most favorable regions for the production of great wines. Here, Nebbiolo often takes on the contours of poetry.

Angelo Gaja, in the 60s, had the merit of renewing the traditions. This meant import new techniques such as the reduction of production per hectare, a greater control of the fermentation temperature, a careful use of the barrique, the passage of longer plugs.
So Gaja has been able to keep pace with the times, without falling into the error of fossilized in the tradition. A successful, therefore, constructed with intelligence and intuition, it inherited from the rigors and sacrifices of their predecessors and developed and consolidated in recent decades thanks to the tremendous leadership of Angelo.

Gaja has built around himself the image of a strong and vital brand, a symbol of the greatness and Barbaresco of a wine that can tell the poetry of its territory in the glass.
Tasting Notes
The Gaja Barbaresco is decided, spicy, liquirizioso, austere, toasted notes, coffee, accennti menthol, blueberry and balsamic memories.

Everything is beautifully defined.

The taste is rich, very elegant, with firm tannins and precise.

sweet and very long final.

A Barbaresco overflowing the nose, full bodied and sweet, caressing finish.
