Gaja Barbaresco 2006

Gaja Barbaresco 2006, the blending of grapes from 14 vineyards, gives rise to a complete and balanced wine, a true Barbaresco, very fruity, with good tannic structure and sour. The Gaja Barbaresco is worth its price! Dark garnet red, olfactory impact of rare sophistication and complexity with superb definition of fruit and spices. The initial impact is proposed with hints of licorice and blackberry, then, little by little, here are the small red fruit stand where the blueberry and then the cherry jam, for continuation of refined floral tones and ethereal. The French taste, with a strong structure, but polite. The excellent development, the tannins are important but gentle, almost sweet. A Barbaresco, Barbaresco! strong and effective as it rarely happens to meet. Indispensable. All beautifully defined.

Barbaresco Gaja offers superb floral nose cherry, strawberry and toasted aromas. Ripe, dense and meaty with a sensual and elegant personality. This wine is more representative of the wines produced by Angelo Gaja.

Angelo Gaja has always been aware of the need to maintain good communication to sell their products at the highest level, just as he has never forgotten that the basis of this company will always be represented by its splendid vineyards: 81 hectares in the best areas Barbaresco and Barolo, cultivated with vines per hectare 3500, maintained with the meticulousness of a garden. As a coincidence I visited the winery and I bought a few boxes.
Bright cherry colour, high layer. It smelled of oak. Taste of ripe fruit in the mouth.

Red base colour with violet hints. Aromas of dried fruits.Fruity taste.
I recommend to taste it with prosciutto.
