Fontanafredda has a long history: it dates back to 1858 with the purchase of the estate by Vittorio Emanuele II, a gift for his mistress Bela Rosin. Over the years, the winery has become known above all for the quality of its Barolo, a quality that has certainly not been lost over the years, as demonstrated by the title of European Winery of the Year awarded by Wine Enthusiast Magazine in 2017.
The sparkling wine Fontanafredda Asti is the perfect wine for any festive occasion, thanks to its aromaticity and joyful personality. It is made with Moscato Bianco from the vineyards of Calosso d'Asti, S. Stefano Belbo, Treiso, Serralunga d'Alba and Alba, hilly areas particularly suited to viticulture.
Excellent to drink alone, it is ideal to uncork at dessert time.

The Winery
Fontanafredda
The Fontanafredda estate is located in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, the heart of the Barolo production area, and covers an area of over 100 hectares. An important story, which brings us back to the figures of King Vittorio Emanuele II and his year, Rosa Vercellana, better known as "la Bela Rosin". Company faithful to the rule of directly producing wines, especially Barolo, and sparkling wines that bear the mark on the bottle.
