Discover More About Our Products

Delord was founded in 1932 by the sons of a travelling distiller, who would go from farm to farm helping the owners turn their grapes into eau de vie. All of that know-how and tradition has been passed down through the generations. Today, this small, family-owned and operated distillery continues to select, blend, and craft superb French Armagnacs out of its distillery in southwestern France.

This 1999 Armagnac has wonderful aromas of yellow peach, tea angelica, candied orange and spices. Distilled at lower temperatures than other brandies at around 54-58 degrees, this Armagnac provides greater wine flavours with less refinement than cognacs. Beautifully round with satisfying length and fruity flavours of dried citrus, grape and mandarin finish.

Description of Bas-Armagnac Delord 50cl 1999

Bas-Armagnac Delord 50cl 1999 (Ugni Blanc)

Delord Armagnac

It was Prosper Delord, a travelling distiller, who initially fell in love with the magnificent eau-de-vie of Armagnac. In 1893, he founded the house of Delord that became the Armagnac Delord Brothers, when his two sons Gaston and Georges took over the alambic still and followed in their father's footsteps with the same passion for Armagnac. Today, Gaston's sons Jacques and Pierre Delord continue the family tradition, along with the next generation, Jerome and Sylvain.
