Bas-Armagnac Delord 50cl 1979 (Ugni Blanc)

Delord Freres

It was Prosper Delord, a travelling distiller, who initially fell in love with the magnificent eau-de-vie of Armagnac. In 1893, he founded the house of Delord that became the Armagnac Delord Brothers, when his two sons Gaston and Georges took over the alambic still and followed in their father's footsteps with the same passion for Armagnac. Today, Gaston's sons Jacques and Pierre Delord continue the family tradition, along with the next generation, Jerome and Sylvain.

Bas-Armagnac Delord 50cl 1979

Fine Armagnac from the house of Delord. Distilled in 1979 and barrel aged until its recent bottling. You can appreciate the seven mystical Armagnac notes of nut, peach, violet, lime, vanilla, plum and pepper from this excellent Armagnac house that was established in 1893.

In the southwest corner of France, just below Bordeaux, you'll find gorgeous Gascony. This is the spiritual home of culinary delights like foie gras and also where Armagnac is made. Similar to Cognac but a little more robust and rustic you'll find the 1998 vintage from Delord is a velvety textured spirit to savour.
It's the perfect gift for someone born in 1998 or to celebrate an anniversary. Beautifully presented in an elegant bottle with a wax seal in a bespoke wooden box also with a wax seal.

A great Armagnac with wonderful aromas of yellow peach, tea angelica, candied orange and spices. Distilled at lower temperatures than other brandies at around 54-58 degrees, this Armagnac provides greater wine flavours with less refinement than cognacs. Beautifully round with satisfying length and fruity flavours of dried citrus, grape and mandarin finish.
