La Bodega Humberto Canale, founded in 1909 by the engineer who names the company, played a key role in the development of this wine region. This character worked tirelessly to ensure that the Upper Valley acquired the dignity of specific terroir and vines were accorded to the unique characteristics grown there granted by the geographical location of the region.
La Bodega Humberto Canale is located in General Roca, Upper Black River Valley (Patagonia, Argentina) at a latitude of 39.2 °. It has a very special atmosphere, with bright sunny days and very cold night, especially in the 20 days prior to the maturity of the vine. The property has 500 hectares, of which 145 are planted with top quality vineyards, and produces fine 1,150,000 kilos of grapes per year. It is the most important winery of Southern Argentina.
