Nossing Alto Adige Muller Thurgau Sass Rigais 2018 (Müller-Thurgau)

TASTING NOTES:

  • View: intense straw yellow pale color.
  • Nose: fragrances of lime, bergamot, lemon verbena, cut grass, radish and blacksmith.
  • Mouth: balanced and refreshing sip with exemplary cohesion between hard and soft elements. Finally, a long succession of perceptions found in the nose.

APPELLATION: Valle Isarco Trentino (Alto Adige, Italy).

VINEYARD: Pluner and Mitsch, owned by Manfred Nossing.

GRAPES: 100% Müller Thurgau.

AGEING: Aged for 8 months in steel tanks and barrels of acacia wood.

PREPARATION: After vintage and wine, alcoholic fermentation is performed at 16 - 18 °C for 12 days in steel tanks and barrels acacia.

PAIRING: combines perfectly with fish dishes (eg scallops au gratin).

RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 10 - 12 °C

ALCOHOL: 12.5%

My friends wanted me to taste it.
I was impressed by its colour. Over all, the Nossing Alto Adige Muller Thurgau Sass Rigais reminded me of white flowers. Toasted background in the mouth.
It was an excellent accompanist for the main course.
