Bisceglia Terre di Vulcano Aglianico del Vulture (Aglianico)

TASTING NOTES:

  • View: intense ruby-garnet.
  • Nose: pronounced aromas of blackberries and spices, forest floor nuances and shades of smoke.
  • Mouth: harmonious and balanced with smooth round tannins.

APPELLATION: Aglianico del Vulture.

VINEYARD: clayey volcanic soil.

GRAPES: Aglianico.

PREPARATION: mechanical harvest in late September. 18-20 °C fermentation and wine making a daily pumping placed in steel containers for a period of not less than 12 months.

PAIRING: first courses, red meats, game.

TEMPERATURE: 15-18 °C

A ripe, juicy Aglianico with perfumed black cherry, blackberry and olives on the nose.



Bisceglia wines are all about the concentration and intensity of flavour that you can find in Southern Italy today. Based in the Lavello area known for its fine Aglianico, they have 30ha of prime Basilicata real estate planted on the region's famous, dark volcanic soils.

Notes:        A ripe, juicy Aglianico with perfumed black cherry, blackberry and olives on the nose. The palate is soft and fresh with a good balance between savoury, ripe tannins and dark ever so slightly bitter fruits.
