Fox Gordon Princess Adelaide Hills Fiano 2016

TASTING NOTES:

• View: Nearly colourless, with green highlights in the glass.
• Nose: This is a particularly fragrant wine with tropical fruit notes of mango, melon, and orange, verdant herbs of basil and sage, and a touch of vanilla hazelnut.
• Mouth: A smooth and creamy texture with a beautiful depth of flavour. One detects notes of fruity guava, pear, and melon with crisp green apple acidity softened by subtle vanilla and oak tones. The finish is balanced, with Mediterranean herbal notes emerging before the finish.

APPELLATION: Adelaide Hills

VINEYARD: Fox Gordon Wines. These grapes, which are typically grown in Mediterranean Europe, were grown in the comparable climate of Adelaide Hills, western Australia. The Kersbrook vineyard, as it is known, is located on the northern end of the region, where the weather is typically warmer with less rainfall. This vineyard is located at approximately 480 meters above sea level with iron stone soils.

GRAPES: Fiano

AGEING: Bottled immediately after vinification.

PREPARATION: The wine was made with minimal intervention in order to preserve the unique characteristics of the varietal. Fermentation took place at cool temperature, while being held on the lees for seven days.

PAIRING: Roasted chicken, salmon, tuna, paella, shellfish, cheddar or gruyere cheeses.

RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 7-13°C
