In 2001, Pernod launched a new aniseed spirit: Absinthe Pernod , with extracts of absinthe plants. Inspired by the original recipe that made the Maison Pernod famous in the 19th century, this absinthe with a strong taste of aniseed and without sugar, with an alcohol content of 68%, has a thujone content that complies with current legislation.
To release all the fresh and intense liquorice and aniseed aromas, it is recommended to dilute Absinthe Pernod with a little bit of water when serving. It can also be used as an ingredient for the creation of many fancy cocktails.

The Producer
Pernod Ricard

Pernod Ricard is the second largest group in the world for the production and distribution of wines and spirits. The group was formed in 1975 from the merger of the two largest French aniseed aperitif producers, Pernod and Ricard. The decision to join forces rather than continue to compete proved to be a winning strategy!
